Meet the Child Safeguarding and Protection Team

Andrew Fagan is Director of the Child Safeguarding and Protection Service. Andrew is the Designated Liaison Person within the Archdiocese of Dublin for the receipt of complaints or concerns in relation to the protection of children and vulnerable adults. Andrew is also responsible for the overall coordination and development of the service.   Andrew is a social worker [Reg. No. SW000366].
Julie McCullough is the Child Protection Officer and assists the Director in the area of case management and in supporting those who have experienced abuse. Julie is a social worker [Reg. No. SW004220].
Loraine Byrne is the Safeguarding Officer for Vulnerable Adults. She also assists the Director in the area of case management and in supporting those who have experienced abuse. Loraine is a social worker [Reg. No. SW006146].
Fr. Richard Shannon is the priest delegate. Fr. Shannon assists the Director in the management of the diocesan response to priests against whom allegations of child abuse have been made.
Gary Kehoe is the Child Safeguarding and Protection Training and Development Coordinator responsible for the implementation of the parish and diocesan child safeguarding structures.
Vivienne Knight is the Garda Vetting Coordinator
Clare Harwood is the Garda Vetting Administrator
Aileen Byrne provides administrative support to the Case Management team
Geraldine Tierney provides administrative support to the Training and Development Coordinator

 

Gerry Deegan is the Priest Support Coordinator. He provides support and supervision of priests who are the subject of child or vulnerable adult protection concerns.
